A 4 Days Chimpanzee trekking safari in Kibale Forest National Park in Uganda the Pearl of Africa offers you remarkable chimpanzee viewing as the primary activity. However it also goes ahead to feature the heritage tour to the Amabere ga`nyina Mwiru caves and Nakayima tree, adventure tours to Fort Portal Crater Lake field and Eco tour encounter in Bigodi wetland Sanctuary.

Kibale National Park stands in the western part of Uganda in the shadows of Rwenzori Mountains dubbed the legendary mountains of the moon in Africa. It features a varied tract and lovely tropical forest that date back to the prehistoric era supporting a range of flora, fauna and birds that have made it an ideal destination for travelers on safaris in Uganda While in East Africa. The Uganda safari destination of Kibale National Park features 70 species of mammals, 13 primate Species including the chimpanzees, the 375 bird species with one endemic species the ground thrush. The forest also supports 351 tree species some of which are about 55m in height and about 200 years old.

 Day 1; Entebbe Airport to the Hotel

Meet Muleni Safaris Uganda Representative at the Airport (Arrivals), for a transfer to the Hotel in Either Entebbe or Kampala for a night Accommodation. (Full Board Accommodation.) Day 2; Kampala to Kibale Forest National Park

Muleni Safaris Uganda Driver Guide meet up with you at the Hotel for an Early Road trip to Kibale Forest National Park. The drive will take you through Mityana via Mubende, Fort Portal Towns Respectively. Continue to Semiliki National Park.

At Semiliki, Take a Forest Walk and visit Sempanya Hot Springs (The male and female hot springs are phenomenal physical features). Situated in the Northern foothill of the Rwenzori Mountains, some 70kms from Kasese and 320 kms from Kampala, Fort portal is perhaps the most attractive town in Uganda amid lush rolling hillsides swathed in neat tea plantations and when clouds permit the Location offers excellent views across to the glacial peaks of the Rwenzori Mountains. The Drive continues for 35kms from Fort Portal Town to the National Park. Drive time is approximately 5 hours.

Day 3 Chimpanzee Tracking

This early morning, wake-up and have breakfast, attend briefing by the Ranger-guide and enter the sanctuary to embark on your morning Chimpanzee tracking session. In addition to a large community of chimpanzees, there are 13 other primate species, including red and black-and-white colobus monkeys, l’Hoest’s, red-tailed, vervet and blue monkeys, grey-cheeked mangabeys, olive baboons, as well as four species of nocturnal primates.

The birdlife is prolific, with approximately 400 species recorded for the area. Highlights include the crested guineafowl, great blue turaco, grey parrot, green-breasted & African pitas, African crowned eagles and black bee-eaters. Break for lunch and then embark on an afternoon Bigodi Swamp Walk. The Swamp is a community-based tourism project which offers a platform for you to see more primates, swamps and forest birds. On your tour, you will likely see several kinds of monkeys including black and white colobus, red colobus, mangabey, red tailed, vervet, and Irsquo Hoest. Other wetlands mammals include baboons, sitatunga (an increasingly endangered swamp antelope), bush pigs, civet cats, mongooses, bush bucks and an occasional chimpanzee appearance

Day 4 Kibale to Kampala

Wake-up to the rhythm of nature, breakfast, check-out and explore crater lakes, break for lunch and exit Kibale area heading back to Kampala with a stop at the Nakayima Spiritual Tree.  Proceed and take a leisurely ride back to Kampala. Drop-off at your residence in Kampala.
